Online Concusssion Course Now Available
Q 99 NEWS RELEASE: ”With concussions ever so prevalent these days, a new course is now available for local sport groups. Concussioneducation.ca offers organizations like GP Minor Hockey a tool to train coaches and parents on the issue.
Executive Director Lorna LeBlanc encourages other groups to jump onboard and dedicate themselves to injury prevention.
“We all know about Brent Headon, who’s still in a Calgary children’s hospital recovering,” she says. “This is such an important subject.”
There’s no fee to enrol and once a group has signed up, it costs $9 for members to take the course.
